Dr Zhao Yi Jing is a Singapore trained and certified Clinical Neurologist. She completed her medical degree training from the National University of Singapore with a MBBS degree. Thereafter, she became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), and was also awarded the Masters of Medicine by National University of Singapore (NUS). She started her neurology career practicing in Singapore General Hospital (SGH), National Neuroscience Institute(NNI). She was a visiting Neurology Consultant to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) and Changi General Hospital (CGH). She was also a clinical lecturer in Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor in Duke-NUS Medical School.
Dr Zhao’s expertise in Neurology extends to various other areas, including sleep-related issues, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, motor neuron disease, dementia, and other neurological conditions. Her extensive experience, coupled with her passion for helping patients, has earned her a reputation as a compassionate and skilled Clinical Neurologist in Singapore.
Dr Zhao’s passion lies in the subspecialty of diagnosing and treating headache conditions in adults and adolescents. She was appointed the clinical headache service lead in Singapore General Hospital (SGH) in 2018. She was also part of the founding committee for the Headache Society of Singapore (HSS) in 2018 and is currently the vice-president and treasurer of the HSS. She is also a member of the Asian Regional Consortium Headache Society (ARCH) and has conducted talks in regional headache meetings and advisory board for new treatment in headache and migraine. She is currently pursuing a Masters in headache conditions.
Dr Zhao has also published research papers on headache conditions, including the novel CGRP therapies for headache and migraine. She served as the Singapore Principal Investigator in several regional clinical trials for the latest headache treatment using CGRP monoclonal antibodies and small molecules.
She has given extensive number of talks and has expertise in the area of adult headache medicine, vestibular migraine, headache in pregnancy, headache in adolescence and novel headache treatments to healthcare institutions in Singapore, such as SGH, Singhealth polyclinics, KKH and Allied Health Professions.
